The Joliet area is revving up for a summer car show, and whether they attend the function as a spectator or they choose to enter a vehicle, the participants will be showing some love to local vets.
The American Legion Marine Post 13 Classic Car Show is right around the corner, and the organizers are counting on the public to help make it a success. The fee to enter a car or other vehicle is $15 each.
The event will give the general public a chance to view a wide variety of classic cars and also meet their owners. The entries will be judged in at least 15 award classes, and prizes will be presented. Even split draws are on the agenda, and the venue's full-service bar and grill will be open for anyone who would like to relax with a bite to eat or a drink. Those with questions have been asked to contact Bob at 815-931-9046.
Car shows are popular summer activities, giving local vehicle buffs an opportunity to meet and get to know one another. Those who plan summer events will be able to obtain banner printing and other services from a local Print shop.
This chance to support area veterans and have fun doing so is scheduled for June 18 at the American Legion Post 13 in Plainfield. It will begin at 12:00 pm, and the judging will start at 12:30 pm.
