Joliet to welcome arrival of special holiday guest

A special activity is on the way for Joliet’s younger set, and a special guest has been invited to take pride of place during the festivities.

Santa has decided to include a stop in the city in his December plans, and he will be presiding over Santa’s Secret Workshop. This activity is intended for children between the ages of five to ten, and while they have fun, there will be food and drinks on offer for their parents.

The younger guests at the function will be able to meet the Jolly Old Elf in person, and there will be trained “junior elves” on site to supervise the fun. The kids will also be able to make a craft to give to someone special, and assistance will be provided so they can warp and tag their item.

While the kids are crafting, the adults will be invited to head to the rotunda so they can enjoy lite bites, as well as Christmas bingo and a chance to mingle. A cash bar service will be available for their enjoyment as well.

Community holiday events are often popular. A banner printing company will be happy to help by supplying a wide selection of decorations.

This chance for Joliet’s kids to spend some time with Santa is scheduled for the Rialto Square Theatre on Sunday, December 4. Tickets are available now, and they start at $19 each.
