Joliet to attend a unique art and crafts show

Joliet locals looking for something different, or something with real Earth overtones, may want to visit the upcoming Triskele Trade Craft & Vendor Show.

The family friendly event will feature arts and crafts made by people from across the country, with a decidedly holistic theme.

The show will feature artists and craftspeople showing their wares in the standard booth format, but the wares they have to offer will differ from the usual show fare, in that their sellers believe they may be able to offer mystical value as well.

Vendors such as Moonchild Originals, and the Wayfaring Soul will offer trinkets such as stuffed owls, meant to help people as they travel on their own unique spiritual journey. Other venders will offer products such as bath soaps, clothes, consulting, henna application, fiber art, and hand-painted tarot cards. Food will not be served, though there will be tea samples available.

Those that plan to attend may want to dress accordingly and perhaps have some flyer printing done for distribution beforehand to help spread the word.

The show will be held Saturday, March 12 at the Universalist Unitarian Church, 3401 Jefferson St, Joliet, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. There will be no cost to attend, though attendees will need cash to purchase those items that will be for sale.
