Joliet session to explore phlebotomy opportunity

Joliet residents who are considering their career options may want to investigate a training opportunity on offer to them in their own home town.

Joliet Junior College recently announced that it will be running an information session for its phlebotomy technician training course, which will be made available through Corporate & Community Services. The evening will be a non-credit educational opportunity, and the organizers can be reached by anyone with questions at 815.280.1555.

The function will explain the role of a phlebotomist and why they are in demand in the healthcare world. The attendees will learn how quickly they can become accredited in the field, and that the classes are instructed by professors with real world experience. Details will be provided about the college's labs and other training facilities available for the use of the students, and also the clinical experience portion of the course. There will be 60 hours of training and instruction. Testing may be required to enter the program, and this will be discussed as well.

Pamphlets and other informational materials are often distributed during an information session. A brochure printing company will be able to prepare a variety of items for an event.

This chance to learn more about the Joliet Junior College Phlebotomy Technician Program will be held on November 16th. It will begin at 6:00 pm on the institution's campus.
