Joliet plans pollinator party

Many species provide pollination services, and they come in all sorts of sizes. They will be the stars of an upcoming Joliet event, and those who are part of the festivities will develop a deeper appreciation of these creatures.

The Pollinator Party coming up at the Isle a la Cache Museum will include both well-known species such as bees and butterflies to others that may surprise the crowd. No advance registration is needed, and the function will be held outdoors.

The activity will offer a sneak peek into the lives of pollinators, and these include the live bats on hand thanks to Incredible Bats. The film “The Guardians,” which explores the connection between indigenous Mexican culture and the monarch butterflies that migrate there each year, will be screened. Everyone will learn how they can offer all sorts of pollinating creatures a helping hand, and there will be fun for every age.

Getting started with environmental stewardship does not have to be difficult, and attending an organized event can be an easy way for locals to be introduced to new concepts. A brochure printing company can be called on to provide informative materials for many types of occasions.

This celebration of Pollinator Week will be on offer in Joliet on Saturday, June 24. It will kick off at 11:00 am, and anyone with questions or who would like to make arrangements for an accommodation is asked to contact 815-722-9301.
