Joliet celebration planned by local garden center

Families that love getting out and exploring nature may want to save the date for an activity that has been planned by a local establishment.

Joliet’s Allied Nursery and Garden Center Inc. is organizing its Family Nature Day celebration, and it will have fun on tap for all ages. A selection of the activities that will be on offer will be “make and take” so that everyone who comes out will go home with a project they made on their own.

The participants in the afternoon will find out how to pot up a sapling, and they will be able to take this home along with a bird feeder so they can show some love to their feathered friends. A nature scavenger hunt will provide both fun and learning, and while the kids enjoy themselves, the adults will be able to add to their gardening knowledge, and maybe even find some new plants for their own property.

A community celebration like this is often a festive occasion, and a banner printing company will have lots of ways to make it feel even more special. It can offer traditional types as well as pop-up and roller styles, all of which can be custom designed for a particular event.

Allied Nursery and Garden Center is set to host this function on June 27. The activities will take place between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
