The Master Gardener program gives those with green thumbs an opportunity to share their knowledge with the public, and one of its members will be facilitating a Joliet area workshop this winter.
The Naperville Community Gardeners have cordially invited one and all to sit in on a presentation that will take place as part of its January meeting. There will be no entry fee applied for first-time visitors.
Following a brief discussion of club business and a short social mixer, the discussion will begin. Master Gardener Paul Stoffels will be sharing his insights and experiences of seed starting, and he will review the practice and equipment used for doing this. The attendees will learn about the benefits of seed starting and can ask any questions on their minds. Packets of seeds will be distributed for free to the attendees upon request.
Horticultural clubs bring those who share a love of gardening together in an environment where they can learn from one another. A printer's graphic arts team can devise a catchy Logo Design for a group or not-for-profit organization, and this can be helpful in generating public awareness.
This opportunity to get the scoop on seed starting is scheduled for Monday, January 8. It will be on offer at 1105 Catalpa Lane in Naperville, and it will begin at 6:30 pm.
