The Schofield Family Foundation is hosting the Couple of Champions fundraiser next month in nearby Naperville.
The foundation was begun by Carolina Panthers player Michael Schofield and his wife to support military families and first responders, as well as provide opportunities for youth sports and medical research.
The day will consist of four hours of golf and four hours of football. The Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons will be playing a game, which will be followed with an interview with Michael Schofield. There will also be a silent auction, a split-the-pot draw, and a raffle.
Ticket holders will be treated to a luncheon buffet and two drinks; they will also receive a golf towel. Sponsorships are still available for the tournament and can be purchased for $250 up to $1,000.
Having been rescheduled from earlier this year, the tournament will likely attract golf and football fans from all over the area, including Joliet. Local Stationery printers often provide advertising materials to inform the public about charity events such as this one.
The fundraising golf tournament will be held at Top Golf in Naperville on October 11 from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Tickets are $100 each. To find out more about becoming a sponsor, the tournament, or the Schofield Family Foundation, visit the official website.
