Annual festival will heat up the summer

Kidsfest is returning to Joliet this summer. This annual festival takes place in August and is a presentation of the Joliet City Center Partnership.

The festival will be an excellent opportunity for families to get out and enjoy the summer weather. There are set to be plenty of interactive activities for all, including art, giant LEGO, inflatables, and pony rides. Various organizations will be hosting some of these activities; they include the Rialto Square Theatre and Joliet Public Library.

There are still spaces for vendors and other activity providers. The fee is $250 for vendors or free for those providing an activity or a free giveaway. Applications are due by July 15.

There will also be live entertainment, as well as food and drink for purchase. In past years, activities have included a petting zoo and animal demonstrations.

This event is an opportunity for local small businesses or organizations to make themselves known in the community. Many of them might invest in Flyers or banner printing services to advertise their participation in this year's festival.

Kidzfest will be held in Downtown Joliet on Chicago Street on August 1 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission is free of charge, while some activities may come with a small fee. To find out more about this event or to become a vendor, contact Lauren Las at 815-774-6066.
