Annual children's festival returns to Joliet

KidzFest is held on the first Saturday of August each year and will be taking place next month in Joliet. It is hosted by the Joliet City Center Partnership.

The festival is aimed at children between the ages of 2 and 12 and is set to feature many different activities that will appeal to everyone's interests. There will be interactive games, activities hosted by vendors and plenty of food and drink to purchase.

Among the groups that are hosting events this year are the Lewis University Kids Campus, the Joliet Park District and the Forest Preserve District.

There will also be a variety of entertainers performing throughout the day for the children.

Vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise such as arts and crafts and souvenirs. Booths are still available for the festival. The fee is free for vendors who are providing entertainment or activities or $250 for general merchandise sales.

To ensure that there is a large turnout for events like these, organizers often contact Joliet flyer printing companies to order advertising materials that can be easily distributed.

KidzFest will be held at various locations on Chicago Street in downtown Joliet. Admission is free of charge. To learn more about the event or to become a vendor, call Lauren Las of the Joliet City Center Partnership at 815-774-6066.
