Frankfort will be holding several events next month with a holiday theme.
The Founders Community Center will be hosting a workshop and photographs with Santa Claus. Among the activities, including the chance to visit with Santa, will be games with a holiday theme, crafts, and cookie decorating. There will be two sessions, one from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. and the other one from noon to 12:45 p.m. This will be on Saturday December 5.
There will be the Polar Express Storytime Train hosted by the Frankfort Park District. This will be a unique train ride to the “North Pole “during which balloon animals will be made by Santa’s elves and attendees will be able to listen to the story of the Polar Express. Santa Claus will meet travelers on their arrival, and he will return on the train to the Hickory Creek Metra Station in Mokena. There are two train departures, one at 9:30 a.m. and the other at 11:20 a.m. on Sunday December 6.
The Founders Community Center will also be hosting Puzzle Mania – Holiday Edition for people of all ages. Teams of four wearing their favorite holiday sweaters are encouraged to register for this event, which is a jigsaw puzzle tournament, wherein each team will enter a competition as to who can finish the same holiday-themed puzzle first. This will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday December 11.
Such events can be promoted throughout a town with poster printing.
