The village of Frankfort will be hosting several community events in August.
The first will be a Community Garage Sale. Those who would like to participate will need to register at a cost of $10 per home. The addresses of those who have registered will be on a list that the Frankfort Park District will make available at its office and on the Internet. Poster printing can also be used to make known the participating homes. Balloons, a garage sale sign, a brochure on garage sale selling tips, and a map of subdivisions in Frankfort will be given to all participants. This event will be on Saturday August 1, beginning at 7:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. and will end at 3:00 p.m.
A Party in the Park will be held at Jackson Creek Park on Wolf Road. This will feature outdoor activities, games, a DJ Dance Party, and many more fun happenings. This event is sponsored by Earthrise Energy, Andy’s Frozen Custard, and Floor Coverings International. This will be from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Monday August 3.
“Cars” will be the featured movie of Movies on the Green on Breidert Green on Kansas and White Streets. This is a family-friendly event and is free for everyone. Those who want to watch the movie should bring a chair or blanket. This will be on Tuesday August 11 beginning at dusk at approximately 8:15 p.m.
These sorts of events are just one way to keep community spirits up.
