July filled with special events in Frankfort

Several notable events will be taking place in Frankfort next month.

The first is the fireworks for the 4th of July. This event will be at Main Park on S. Locust Street, and will open at 6:30 pm before entertainment by a DJ begins at 7:00 pm. There will be concessions available for purchase with the fireworks beginning at about 9:15 pm.

Parties in the Park will be at Sandalwood Park on Sandalwood Drive and 116th Avenue. There will be activities, games, a rocking dance party, and other outdoor fun. This will be from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Monday, July 13.

Movies on the Green will be at Breidert Green on Kansas and White Streets featuring a free movie for the family. People are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy watching a movie under the stars. Co-sponsors of the event are the Frankfort Park District, Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, and the village of Frankfort. “Matilda” will be shown on Tuesday, July 14 beginning at approximately 8:15 pm.

A Salute to the Pups will be held at Bark Park at Commissioners Park featuring doggy pools, treats, games, and photos of people with their pet dogs. This will be from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday, July 16.

Such events can be promoted throughout a community with poster printing.
