The Founders Community Center in Frankfort will be hosting a Senior Fall Luncheon next month. This will be an afternoon of a tasty meal along with dessert, entertainment, and socializing. This event is for those 55 years of age and older and will be on Friday October 3 from noon to 2:00 p.m.
The annual Scarecrow Building Contest invites homeowners’ associations, community organizations, families, and scout groups to join in the fun and participate. The Park District will provide cross sticks for those who want to demonstrate their creative skills and build an eye-catching entry. All entries are due by Friday October 9 and will be displayed outside the Founders Community Center. Voting on the entries will be from Monday October 13 through Friday October 31, at which point the winners will be announced.
A family friendly Halloween Bash will be held at the Founders Community Center. This will feature a dance party with a DJ, inflatables, a balloon artist, a hayride, games for kids, spooky games, and a small pumpkin patch, among other activities. Attendees are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. This event is sponsored by Town Center Bank, DOT, Culver’s, and Cedarhurst Senior Living. This event will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday October 17.
