Tequila mixology course offers learning opportunity in Edwardsville

A tequila mixology course is in the works for Edwardsville residents interested in learning new skills and even taking the first steps toward becoming bartenders.

The Spirits Session with Steady: Tequila Edition will arrive in Edwardsville next month, giving area residents a hands-on learning experience of making their favorite tequila-based drinks. The course will start by diving into the history of tequila and its production process. Attendees will also learn more about what separates different styles and expressions of the famous spirit.

The lesson will be held by Halstead Selby, a local bartender with years of experience in mixology. Selby will provide step-by-step instructions on concocting the best tequila mixed drinks to enjoy at home or at parties. Brochure printing is an effective way to share information with participants and registered students during such learning experiences.

In addition to the learning experience, guests will be treated to appetizers to ensure comfort and enjoyment throughout the course. The appetizers will be prepared by Matt Macek of the Cleveland-Health Tasting Glass. The course aims to help tequila enthusiasts learn more about its history and uses in mixed drinks to gain a greater appreciation.

Cleveland-Health will host the mixology course on Tuesday, January 14th. The doors will open at 6:30 PM and conclude at 8:00 PM. General admission tickets are available for $75 per attendee online.
