Royalty to visit Edwardsville
Edwardsville will be the site of a visit from royalty soon, and everyone is encouraged to meet the princess.
This particular princess comes to Edwardsville via Disney's films “Frozen” and the new “Frozen 2.” Elsa, the heroine of the movies, is going to spend some time at Afterwords Books to meet and have fun with a few of her luckiest subjects. There will be craft projects, face painting, a sing-a-long, storytime, and best of all, participants will be able to take photos with the Princess of Arendelle. Cupcakes are also on the menu.
Parents who have the earworm “Let It Go” stuck in their heads may not want to risk hearing another tune they cannot ignore, but youngsters are likely to be delighted with the opportunity to meet Elsa. Like her, they are encouraged to wear their fanciest, most beautiful attire, suitable for a court appearance.
The guest list is very small, since the event is being limited to 10 participants, who must be between the ages of three and nine. The cost is $35 per person, and they must be registered. Anyone interested should RSVP by stopping in at Afterwords Books, or calling the shop at 618-655-0355.
“Storytime with a Princess” will take place in Edwardsville from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm on January 26. Afterwords Books is on Vandalia Street. Banner printing can be used to create fabulous decorations for events like this.
