A gala is in the works for Edwardsville, with the community coming together to raise funds to support a local charity.
The Mardi Gras Gala, organized by St. John’s Community Care, will kick off in a few weeks, welcoming attendees from Edwardsville and other parts of the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. The event will feature Miss Jubilee and the Ya Yas Boys for live music and entertainment throughout the evening.
Food will be provided through a Cajun-style buffet, with gluten-free options available for guests with dietary restrictions. Vegan options will also be available through Michele C Catering. The Mardi Gras celebration would not be complete without a cash bar, though attendees are asked to enjoy alcohol responsibly and arrange for a designated driver. Guests can also take photos with friends at the event’s Selfie Station to capture memories. Printing services are an excellent way to make Copies of such photos to preserve the moments and share them with friends and family.
The proceeds from the gala will benefit disabled and caregiving communities in the eastern portion of the metro area. The event is also looking for more sponsors to support and promote it.
The Ink House will host the Mardi Gras celebration on Friday, February 7, with the doors opening at 6:30 PM. General admission tickets are available online for $100 per guest.
