Kellsies Hope Foundation plans run for Edwardsville
A local organization is putting together a 5K fundraiser run in Edwardsville, and individuals who want to support a good cause are invited to attend.
The Kellsie’s Hope Foundation 5K run will kick off soon. The Foundation’s goal is to raise funds for families seeking assistance while battling childhood cancer.
In addition to a 5K run for adults, the event will provide running and crawling events for children of all ages. A 100-meter, 200-meter, and Diaper Dash session will allow teens and tots to run for a good cause.
All children who enroll in the event will receive a winner’s medal upon completing their chosen running event. The 5K event is open to adults who want to walk, jog, or run the total distance.
All participants will also receive a T-shirt to commemorate their participation in the 5K. Promotional products are an effective way for sponsors to build brand awareness and relationships with their target audience at such events. The 5K will be timed, with age divisions used to determine a winner for each segment.
The runs will be held at Drost Park on the morning of Saturday, September 14, with registration for runners and crawlers starting at 8:00 AM. Registration for 5K participants costs $35, and interested parties can reserve a spot online through ticket sites like Eventbrite.
