Yoga enthusiasts in Edwardsville seeking a unique experience and opportunity to promote their health and wellness will want to save the date, as goat yoga is coming to the area.
The Goat Yoga session at Ray Schon Park will start welcoming attendees in a few weeks for a funny and beneficial stretching and meditation experience. Guests will spend the day outdoors while moving their bodies and enjoying attention and snuggles from the baby goats.
The event is being led by Goat Yoga of Southern Illinois, with experienced instructors leading registered guests through several yoga poses and breathing exercises. Participants will leave the event feeling happy and rejuvenated. No yoga experience is required to sign up and participate in the wellness activity.
Interested parties are asked to bring a yoga mat from home, though rentals will be available for an additional $5. Flyer printing can help organizers promote such events around the community to increase attendance and maximize visibility. T-Shirts, tank tops, and goat soap will be available for purchase after the goat yoga session ends.
Athletic clothing is recommended for comfort and maximum movement. The session will be held outdoors, and registered guests are encouraged to check the weather.
Ray Schon Park in nearby Glen Carbon will host the goat yoga event on Saturday, May 3rd, starting at 10:00 AM. Registration costs $35 per person online.
