Edwardsville to host pub crawl with a purpose
An upcoming event in Edwardsville will raise money for charity in an unusual way—inviting participants to enjoy a pub crawl.
The Second Annual Crawl for a Cure will be raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which is located in Memphis, Tennessee. The event is being hosted by Team Sween, which organized the first event last year. The 2018 crawl was so successful they decided to repeat the fun.
This year, Team Sween has decided to give the evening a theme, and has chosen superheroes. Participants are encouraged to come in costume, and they will even be given a cape. There will be door prizes and raffles as well.
There are two types of tickets being offered for the event. The ‘Basic Ticket’ entitles the bearer to one drink, free of charge, at one of the participating bars, as well as a ‘Team Sween’ cape. The ‘VIP Ticket’ includes the custom cape, and one free drink from each of the participating bars. Organizers anticipate the VIP Tickets will sell out quickly. Banner printing can be used to create colorful decorations for venues participating in events like this.
The pub crawl is set for October 19, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Participants in the raffles must be present at 9:00 pm at Big Daddy's to claim their prizes. Basic tickets are $25, and the VIP tickets are $50.
