Edwardsville to enjoy returning winter festival

Officials in Edwardsville, Illinois, have announced that they will be organizing their annual Winter Market Festival. The event is returning after a popular run in previous years.

This holiday event is designed to allow individuals to buy from friends, neighbors, or business partners. These may be personal items, but may be used as more corporate gifts to give to associates. Officials have said that there will be a wide array of local artisan vendors that will be selling homemade goods, enabling attendees to buy presents they cannot get anywhere else. The event will also feature the annual Edwardsville tree lighting. Additional activities will include music, food vendors, S’mores, and pictures with Santa.

According to Edwardsville officials, at least 75 event vendors are expected to be on hand this year. Officials have said that there will be an increased diversity of vendors as well; individuals can expect to purchase jewelry, boutique gifts, and other unique products. The city is still taking applications for vendors who want to sell their goods at the event, and interested individuals can fill out the form on the city’s website.

The event will be held on Sunday, December 2, running from 1:00pm – 6:00pm. There is no fee for entrance. The event is being held at Edwardsville City Park, which is located at 101 S. Buchanan Street. City officials note that the event has been moved from previous years to accommodate larger community demand from local residents.
