Edwardsville to be site of dual-brand development

Plans have been announced by R.L.P. Development for the building of a 188-room hotel property to be located near Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Ground will be broken at Governors Parkway and the corner of Illinois Route 157 for the dual-brand Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites. An additional outparcel development on the property will have commercial real estate space available for leasing later.

Banner printing services are often called upon once a new structure has gone up, and to identify it to the public while it is being completed and alleviate any confusion about the project.

Over the last few years, R.L.P. Development, along with its affiliates have brought numerous hotel projects to fruition throughout the U.S. in conjunction with several of the Hilton, IHG, Marriott, and Choice Hotel company brands.

According to R.L.P. Development founder Robert Plummer, the concept will off guests cost savings without sacrificing quality, catering to extended-stay customers on one side of the building and leisure travelers on the other.

Plummer further pointed out that meeting and dining space options for the community also accompany these dual-brand projects.

The project will be Edwardsville’s first Hilton-branded property and the Metro East St. Louis market’s first dual brand hotel project. Already in its final design and architectural phase, the next stage will be the developmental phase.
