Edwardsville ready to rock out

Rock in the 1970s and 1980s was dominated by arena rock, and now that classic music is coming to Edwardsville.

Fans of the arena sound can enjoy it again, thanks to That Arena Rock Show. The group accurately recreates the sound, look, and spectacle of the classic rock bands. Reviews of That Arena Rock Show often feature the word “awesome,” with one person saying:

“We definitely 100% would see you again..a crazy amount of talent and energy and great vocals!”

A second reviewer agreed:

“Great show with lots of energy and songs that any hard rocker will know and love. Performed with skill and respect for the genre.”

A third enthusiastic reviewer explained they had listened to the music when they were younger, and now:

“I was transformed back to my youth. What an experience.”

Arena rock emerged in the 1970s, a variation on pop rock, hard rock, and heavy metal. The shows were written to fill huge arenas, hence the name, and often featured extravagant lighting, pyrotechnics, and special effects. The bands that rose to prominence at that time are some of the biggest in the music business, including AC/DC, Aerosmith, and Led Zeppelin. Their music dominated the airwaves in the 1970s and on into the 1980s.
