Edwardsville goes green with annual expo
Officials with the 2024 Green Drives Conference & Expo have released additional information about their upcoming Edwardsville event.
According to local officials, the event will be one of the largest conferences on clean transport held in the region. Organizers are strongly encouraging businesses, government officials, and clean energy advocates to attend.
Content at the expo will include insights into alternative fuels, fleet success story, speakers from the United States Department of Energy, fleet electrification readiness, and funding opportunities. There will also be an expo fair, allowing attendees to meet with vendors that will offer insights, products, and services about ongoing efforts to change fleets to more sustainable sources of fuel. A keynote speaker (who has yet to be confirmed) will kick-off the conference.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to network with other like-minded individuals and transportation leaders, giving them a great opportunity to make new contacts and collect business cards for relevant contacts.
The event will take place on Thursday, August 1st, and will run from 8:00am to 4:00pm. It will take place at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville - Morris University Center, Lot B, Edwardsville. A block of hotels is available for individuals who are attending and need somewhere to stay the night before. Tickets are $75 for early bird registration and $125 for registration made on the day.
