Edwardsville/Glen Carbon chamber to open new exhibits
The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce have announced an upcoming ribbon cutting at the Edwardsville Children’s Museum.
This opening will explicitly celebrate the kick-off of new exhibits, including the H&F Exteriors Garage, Phillips 66 Wood River Refinery Filling Station, American Water Play Area, and the Discovery Garden expansion project.
Other Chamber members, local government officials and officials from the Museum will be on-hand to celebrate this expansion. As such, the event will give Chamber members and attendees the opportunity to get a sneak-peak at the new museum exhibit, which was funded by contributions and grants from the Illinois Department of Tourism and Great Rivers and Routes Tourism Bureau, as well as museum donors.
This ribbon cutting is the latest celebration for the Edwardsville Children’s Museum. According to Museum officials, other available exhibits currently include Into the Arctic, which allows kids to learn about the arctic region and how the region is being impacted by climate change. This is a traveling exhibit, and individuals are encouraged to connect with Museum officials if they would like to have the exhibit appear at their location.
The ribbon cutting will take place at the Edwardsville Children’s Museum (722 Holyoake Road, Edwardsville, IL). The event is on May 21, 10:00 AM. The event is free to attend, but Chamber members are requested to RSVP at the Chamber website if they plan on participating in the ribbon cutting. Chamber members are encouraged to bring business cards and come to network with community members.
