Over more than 40 years in the music business, John has released songs such as “I Don’t Remember Lovin’ You,” “Miss Emily’s Picture,” “Common Man,” “Friday Night Blues,” and his most well-known song, “Rose Colored Glasses.” Over the decades, Conlee has had more than 20 songs reach the Top 20, and eight of them went to the No. 1 spot on the country charts.

Conlee hails from Kentucky and was singing and playing the guitar by the time he was ten. He had relocated to Nashville by 1971 and was signed by ABC Records in 1976. He had his first charted hit with “Rose Colored Glasses,” which went to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1978. The song was the title track on his debut album, also titled “Rose Colored Glasses,” which dropped that same year. The album provided two more songs “Backside of Thirty” and “Lady Lay Down” that went to No. 1.

A review says:

“John Conlee and his band were awesome. I couldn't stop smiling the entire show, except a couple times when I shed a tear, but it was happy tears.”
