Cheerleading clinic offers new skills to Edwardsville youth

Parents in Edwardsville will want to leave space in the calendar for next month, as a youth cheerleading clinic is being planned in town.

The Edwardsville Cheerleading Clinic for K through 5th Grade will begin taking enrollees in a few weeks in preparation for what aims to be a memorable and exciting learning experience. The clinic will provide a space for aspiring cheerleaders to cheer to their heart's content while learning new skills and making new and lasting friendships.

The clinic will be led by Edwardsville High School’s Varsity and Junior Varsity cheer teams, with the team members teaching enrolled youth new jumps, dances, and cheers. Participants will be split into groups based on age. Flyer printing is an excellent grassroots way to promote such events around the town and increase engagement and participation.

The participants will perform a cheer and dance routine at the clinic’s conclusion, and parents and guardians are encouraged to attend. Each participating youth will receive a commemorative shirt, snacks, and refreshing drinks. A photo prop will also be present so parents can snap a photo of their children. Enrollees should wear comfortable clothing like shorts or leggings.

The clinic will be held in the Edwardsville High School gymnasium on Sunday, March 2nd, with check-in starting at 12:30 PM. General admission registration is open online for $40 per participant.
