Whiskey enthusiasts will want to have their Calendars and Pens out and ready, as a charity bourbon raffle is in the works for Edwardsville residents.
The inaugural Knights of Columbus Charity Bourbon Raffle will begin in a few weeks. It will offer area residents an opportunity to win high-quality bourbon while supporting a good cause. The event, which is sponsored by local businesses like The Bottle Shop, Bubbakoo’s, Integrity Spine and Joint, and Milton Food and Liquor, will raise money to support educational pursuits of local youth.
All proceeds raised from the bourbon raffle will be put toward scholarships for children to attend St. Mary’s and St. Boniface parish grade schools in the region. Organizers have placed a limit on the raffle to 300 participants, and interested parties will want to register while spots remain. Flyer printing is a powerful way to spread word of such community fundraisers using grassroots marketing techniques.
Winners will choose their prize in the order they are picked, with each winner receiving one bottle to take home. The drawing will begin at the conclusion of the venue’s monthly fish fry.
The Knights of Columbus Hall will host the raffle on the evening of Friday, November 15th, with the doors opening at 7:30 PM. Raffle tickets cost $40 per person and can be reserved online.
