Adopting and fostering event to take place near Edwardsville
The Restore Network’s Foster and Adopt 201 Workshop is set to be hosted close to Edwardsville this January.
The mission of the Restore Network is to address problems foster children in Illinois face, such as the instability of living with multiple different families throughout their childhoods. To combat this prevalent issue, the Restore Network provides families throughout the state who are fostering children with essential items such as food and clothes, as well as events and workshops that provide plenty of support, training, and advice on providing foster children with ideal care.
The two-hour Foster and Adopt 201 Workshop is suited for families who are currently fostering children, as well as families who have enrolled in Parent Resources for Information Development and Education (PRIDE) training to become eligible to foster. The workshop is available every other month for both current and potential foster families from Edwardsville or other communities within the county to receive support and advice on caring for foster children. Hosts of similar workshops often include brochure printing in their organizing plans to ensure that all attendees possess informational printouts of helpful event details and resources.
This education and support event for foster families is scheduled to occur at the Emmanuel Free Methodist Church in Alton on Sunday, January 10 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
