Unique comedy experience to be held in Crystal Lake
An interactive comedy show will visit Crystal Lake this October.
"HYPROV" is a distinctive live show masterminded by comedian Colin Mochrie, who gained popularity through performances on shows like as "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" For this event, he will work alongside hypnotist Asad Mecci. The show aims to seamlessly blend the worlds of hypnosis and improv. This intriguing combination has garnered praise from the likes of The New Yorker, Time Out New York, and The Wall Street Journal. It gives adventurous audience members the chance to participate in an evening of improvisational antics.
The performance begins with an expert hypnotist inviting 20 volunteers onto the stage to undergo hypnosis, a process taking approximately 20 minutes. The most receptive participants, known as "Hyprovisors," then join an experienced comedian to form an instant improv troupe. They perform the remainder of the show while fully under hypnosis. This is done to the backdrop of live music from musical director John Hilsen.
The cost for tickets to this event begins at $47. These are available for purchase through the event’s website. Brochure printing can help to offer further information about events such as this one.
This event will take place on October 7 at the Raue Center for the Arts at 26 North Williams Street, Crystal Lake. It begins at 7:00 pm.
