Laugh along in Crystal Lake

A trio of comedians will entertain in Crystal Lake next month.

Lucy’s Comedy will be presented by Crystal Lake’s Raue Center for the Arts. The show will feature headliner Larry Reeb.

Often called Uncle Lar’, Reeb will bring his politically incorrect wit to the stage with a monologue on topics such as lotteries, marriage, family and more.

Uncle Lar’ is well known on radio and television and has been named Chicago’s comedian of the year. He often performs on syndicated radio in The Bob and Tom Show, which airs in more than 100 markets.

Joining Reeb for the live show will be Ted Willson from the successful online show, That Checks Out. Willson’s brand of comedy focuses on hilarious, hard-to-believe, true stories of his own experiences and misadventures.

Local comic Brynn Jeffries will host the show and warm up the audience with her stand-up routine. Jeffries often collaborates on material with two other moms who all took a Raue Center for the Arts comedy class and have progressed to stage performances.

Facilities such as the Raue Center often use poster printing to advertise their shows.

Lucy’s Comedy will be presented on January 16, 2026 from 8 pm to 10 pm at the Center 26 N Williams Street in Crystal Lake. Tickets are available online with savings for members of 30 percent.
