Crystal Lake Parks engages in several different forestry management practices, and one of these has made firewood available for purchase by the general public.
The CL Park District Environmental Committee will be kicking off November with its annual Fall Firewood Sale. A small fee will be charged, and it will take place rain or shine.
Starting in the early morning on its scheduled date, those who place an order for wood will be able to drive up to the collection point and load up their vehicle. The price for 75 pieces is $40.00 and for 150 it has been set at $80.00. The wood has been harvested during forestry management practices undertaken in area parks and other recreational spaces. It will need to be seasoned before use, and the activity will run for three hours.
Keeping a function’s budget on track may include choosing effective and economical marketing materials. A flyer printing company can supply a variety of options that can make it a snap to spread the word about an upcoming event.
The Lippold Park Maintenance Garage, which is east of the Mickey Sund Complex, will be the venue for the area’s pop-up fall firewood giveaway. It will be on offer on November 1st, starting at 8:00 am. Those interested have been asked to reserve their wood by visiting the Crystal Lake Park District's website.
