Tribute band Shining Star coming to Raue Center
A band that pays tribute to one of the biggest acts in the history of pop music is coming to the Raue Center for one night only.
Shining Star is a 10-person group of musicians and vocalists that plays the hits of the legendary group Earth, Wind & Fire. The performance centers on the music the group proceeded in the 1970s and 1980s, and also uses numbers from recordings of their concerts.
Its choices include songs like ‘September’, ‘Sing a Song’, and ‘After the Love is Gone’ in their performances, as well as the band’s versions of The Beatles hit, ‘Got to Get You Into My Life’, and of course ‘Shining Star’.
Earth, Wind & Fire won four American Music Awards, and six Grammy awards, and has been inducted into two Halls of Fame. The group was best known for its horn section, and the vocal interplay between Maurice White, a tenor, and Philip Bailey, who sang in a falsetto style.
Shining Star comprises three horns, drums, two keyboardists, a bass guitarist, and a lead guitarist; the lead singers reproduce the artistry of White and Bailey. Poster printing can provide colorful advertisements for events like this.
The concert is scheduled for 8:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Saturday, March 9, at the Raue Center in Crystal Lake.
