Pop-punk tribute band to rock for Crystal Lake
The Blink-182 tribute band, What’s Our Age Again (WOAA), will perform at Crystal Lake’s Hickory Hall this April. They will be joined by the ‘90s rock cover band Moon Money.
At the turn of the millennium, Blink-182 was one of the most prominent and influential rock bands, widely credited with leading the second wave of pop-punk and carrying it into the mainstream. Unlike some other bands in the genre, their songs were known for their simplicity and straightforwardness, and often crude humor.
The band has managed to sell 50 million albums worldwide and 13 million in the U.S. album. They have also won numerous awards, including ones from the MTV Europe Music Awards, Teens Choice Awards, San Diego Music Awards, and more. They have also received several nominations from the Grammys, Billboard, and iHeartRadio.
WOAA refer to themselves as ‘the #1 mediocre Blink-182 tribute in Chicagoland’. They also claim in a tongue-in-cheek way that the energy of their music “melts faces.”
Moon Money is a cover band in Chicagoland that performs top rock hits from the ‘90s to today.
The performance of WOAA and Moon Money will take place this Friday, April 1. Hickory Hall is located at 406 W Woodstock Street. Bands like WOAA and Moon Money might be interested in business cards to help promote their acts to prospective venues.
