Piano battle coming to Crystal Lake
Dueling pianists are coming to Crystal Lake, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
The Raue Center will be the place to catch Felix and Fingers—Dueling Pianos. The duo performs an all-request show that is suitable for audience members of every age. The interactive evening mixes comedy and music for a fun event.
The artists will play whatever is requested, from the Beastie Boys to the Beach Boys, John Legend to the Beatles, so attendees are asked to come prepared with their favorite songs in mind. Singing and dancing along with the music is encouraged.
Felix and Fingers started in 2010, when Mike Potts and Dave Radford met at a fundraiser in Chicago. A the time, Radford was a finalist on “American Idol,” and Potts, a professional musician, was playing on cruise ships. When they met, they decided it was time to create their own version of Dueling Pianos. From there, the company has grown, with teams of pianists working in eight states.
