Golf tournament near Crystal Lake
A local radio station is the organizer of an upcoming golf tournament in Oakwood Hills, a short distance from Crystal Lake.
Radio station 95 WIIL, which plays rock music of all kinds, has organized the 95 WIIL ROCK Annual Golf Outing—Yer Fly’s Open. The tournament will take place at the Chalet Hills Golf Club on Rawson Bridge Road. The event comprises a full 18 holes of play, the use of a golf cart, both lunch and dinner, and prizes. Prizes will be awarded for the Longest Putt, the person who ends up Closest to the Pin, the Longest Drive, and the Loudest Golf Attire.
Chalet Hills Golf Club, which first opened in 1992, has been redesigned, and its approaches and bunkers renovated. Ponds and lakes are found throughout the course, adding beauty to the greens. The club offers a restaurant and full-service bar, and two simulators where visitors can play various sports, among them soccer, football, golf, and more. High ceilings, comfortable couches, wooden furniture, and a central fireplace combine to make the golf club welcoming.
The tournament is a scramble start, and there is only limited space. In addition, only groups of four will be allowed to sign up. The tournament is set for July 12, with the start scheduled at 11.00 am. The fee is $320 for a party of four. Events like this can provide a great opportunity for participants to exchange business cards.
