Fundraiser ahead for popular Crystal Lake theater
A fundraiser is coming up to help a Crystal Lake theater continue its various programs.
The fundraiser is the Stargazers Ball: The Love Boat, and is taking the popular television show as its theme. Guests are asked to wear cocktail attire for the evening, and embark on a night of romance and adventure similar to the ones found on the iconic ship.
Delicious cocktails, outstanding food, a live auction, and music are all on the schedule for the evening. The Moods will provide entertainment, as will Sierra White, from the Williams Street Repertory. The singing group The Moods is a trio of male singers/songwriters who have opened for such artists as The Spinners, Chuck Berry, and The Temptations.
The Raue Center for the Arts provides live entertainment year round. Once the El Tovar, a movie house built in 1929, the historic venue was completely renovated, reopened as a live theater, and named for its benefactor, Lucile Raue. Over the years, Oscar, Tony, and Grammy winners have graced its stage. Now the theater is raising money to support its arts outreach effort; the Williams Street Repertory, the Raue's in-house theater company; and its Mission Imagination program.
The ball is set for 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm on February 15. Tickets are $100 per person if purchased before February 3, whereas after February 3, they are $125 each. Poster printing can be used to create attractive advertisements for events like this.
