Dance classes on the agenda in Crystal Lake
The Crystal Lake Park District is giving locals a chance to step gracefully into 2015 by offering dance classes.
The park district is providing a wide range of classes that will appeal to people of all ages, skill levels, and interests. From kids who want to learn ballet or hip-hop, to adults who want to pick up skills in tap dancing, or improve their fitness, there is something for everyone.
The upcoming winter/spring session offers a broad array of choices for both aspiring and experienced dancers. Youngsters in the area can enroll in such offerings as Tu Tu Tots, Fairytale Dance Time, Pre-Tap and Jazz, and a Dance Fitness Jam. Classes labeled “adult”, meanwhile, include Ballet & Jazz, Active Adult Tap and Jazz, Adult Line Dance, Ballroom Dancing, and Social Dancing.
Some of the classes will include a recital. These will run for 16 weeks, from January through May.
Classes begin January 10, and are suitable for ages two and up. Hopeful dancers can register online via the park district website, or in person at the district's administrative office, located at One East Crystal Lake Avenue.
The park district might consider working with a postcard printing company to create cards to mail to Crystal Lake residents, informing them of the classes and how to register for them.
