Crystal Lake expanding programs in Nature Center

The Crystal Lake Park District recently announced a number of new programs it is offering that will appeal to people of all ages. People will need to register in advance for the events they wish to attend.

Archers from ages 9 to 16 will enjoy the Introduction to Archery session, where they can learn how to shoot a traditional bow and arrow. A second archery class for adults 18 and older is also available.

People who are interested in wood carving have a chance to learn more about the craft in an Introduction to Woodcarving class for young people ages 8 through 14. The class concentrates on describing tools wood carvers use, and gets the youngsters started on a project to finish at home. Organizers of programs like this can use flyer printing to create handouts for the classes.
