Comedy series coming back to the Raue
A popular comedy series is returning to Crystal Lake for the 11th year.
Lucy's Comedy is returning to the Raue Center for the Arts for the 2019-2020 season. The comedy shows are the base of the center's comedy programs, and are presented on selected Fridays. Tim Paul, the president of the board of Raue Center, describes the shows as being performed with both audience and performers on stage, which makes for an intimate setting.
Lucy's Comedy is also one of the longest-running programs at the center, and sells out most evenings. Among the nationally and regionally known comedians who have appeared at the center are Tim Benker, Pat Tomasulo, Mike Preston, John DaCosse, Denise Medina, Rocky LaPorte, and Dwayne Kennedy.
The next series of Lucy's Comedy starts soon, with Nick Gaza headlining the evening. An article describes Gaza's act as being a mixture of “hysterical true stories and things we can only hope aren't true.”
Gaza pokes fun at everybody, including himself, and the audience, and anyone else he can think of. He spares no one, so audiences should consider themselves warned in advance. Gaza has appeared on numerous television programs including “Becker,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” and “The Drew Carey Show.”
The next series of Lucy's Comedy starts this Friday, September 13, at 8:30 pm. Poster printing can be used to create intriguing advertising for shows like this.
