Beatles tribute band coming to Crystal Lake
American English, a Beatles tribute band, is about to appear in Crystal Lake, rocking the Raue Center with hits from the band that changed pop music forever.
The show is suitable for audiences of all ages, and will offer a way to introduce younger people to the music of John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Of course, parents and grandparents who remember when The Beatles first came to the United States will likely have a great time as well.
American English plans two 50-minute sets, during which they'll play many of The Beatles' best-known hits, as well as some of their ‘B-side’ music. Many of The Beatles’ tunes have gone on to become iconic.
American English has won many accolades, including Illinois Entertainer of the Year, since the band's inception. In addition, the band has won the Beatlefest® sound-alike contest for three consecutive years, and been voted ‘Best Tribute Band’ in Chicagoland three out of the last four years.
Raue Center is a nonprofit organization that seeks to enrich everyone's lives by bringing the arts within their reach. The theater, which dates back to the 1920s and seats 750, has been painstakingly restored and is recognized as a showplace.
The concert is scheduled for this Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 8:00 pm. Tickets start at $20. Events like these can benefit when organizers work with poster printing companies to create colorful placards to announce the evening.
