Award-winning singer to visit Crystal Lake bar
Singer Gina Gonzalez will hold a performance at the Quarry Cable Park and Grille. This performance will take place just before the beginning of the Kentucky Derby.
From the very beginning, it was clear to Gina's family that she had a talent for music. Starting in toddlerhood, she would sing songs on top of a family member's piano accompaniment.
After growing older and getting the attention of actor Gary Sinise, she began travelling and performing with his band, the Lt. Dan Band. Most of these performances were for the military. While in the band, she composed the song 'A Letter Home', which pays tribute to the men and women who serve in the military.
Afterwards, Gina began playing weekly shows around the Chicago area. The over 1,000 cover songs she has performed has earned her the title of 'The Human Jukebox'. These covers are not just limited to a single genre either. At her performances, Gina will play anything from Alice in Chains to Etta James.
In addition, Gina has released 3 EPs which feature her own original pieces. Therefore, audience members at Gina's performances will likely experience a wide variety of tunes.
