Nampa seminar to help educators handle students

Healing Children, LLC. will be offering a presentation in Nampa to teach instructors how to handle challenging children.

Healing Discipline: Finding Joy in Working with Challenging Students is a two-day program that helps teachers improve their confidence in the classroom. The seminar will go over subjects such as how unhealthy childhoods can impact student behaviors and the benefits of effective communication with children. Teachers will also discover practical strategies they can incorporate into the classroom and learn how their personal history may impact their interactions with students.

Healing Children, LLC. is an organization that wishes to help all kids become emotionally happy and responsible by educating parents, instructors, and mental health professionals on how they can create healing environments. The group is run by Leena Weaver and Traci Glover. Weaver is a nationally certified school psychologist, and Glover is a licensed social worker and professional counselor. Classes offered by the organization include Healing Discipline in a Nut Shell and Facilitating Effective Social Skills Groups.

The seminar will be on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Admission to the workshop will cost $129 per person. All materials needed for the conference will be sent to guests via email a week before the event. Educators who hold courses such as this may bring business cards to share with their students to promote their other lessons.
