Nampa marks 10 years of family supports

A community race and festival in Nampa will commemorate its 10th year with a focus on fundraising and outreach for families affected by pregnancy loss.

The Pink and Blue Fun Run and Festival is organized to benefit David’s Hope, a nonprofit that provides emotional support, counseling resources, and memorial services to individuals coping with miscarriage and stillbirth.

The event will include competitive elements, with awards for first-, second-, and third-place finishers, as well as recognition for standout themed participation. In addition to the race, attendees can expect a range of family-oriented activities, including raffles, face painting, and opportunities to engage with local vendors.

Organizers state that the event aims to raise awareness while fostering a supportive environment for families navigating loss. Funds generated will support services such as counseling sessions, memory keepsakes, and assistance with memorial planning.

Standard registration up until June 19 is set at $25, while late sign-ups are available for $30. Vendor registration is currently open, with tickets available for purchase through the event’s official website.

As with many public gatherings, outreach efforts often rely on traditional promotional strategies such as poster printing to inform residents and attract attendees, and to give them keepsakes.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 20 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Lakeview Park, 1304 7th Street North, Nampa.
