Nampa festival to raise awareness for healing resources
The For You Network will be holding a community event in June at Lakeview Park in Nampa.
The KindYourMind Festival is an event where people can get convenient access to helpful resources for violence and trauma victims. The organizations attending the fest include the Nampa Family Justice Center, Opportunity for Life Network, Jesse Tree, and the Nuestra Gente Wellness Center. There will also be several vendors offering food at the event, like Hawgs and Dogs, Stella’s Ice Cream, and Cup Bop. Other activities held at the fest include a silent auction, dance performances, and a car show.
The fest began as a tribute to Kymberlee Larsen in 2018 and has grown to become a space for honoring those in the community who have been impacted by domestic violence. The event generates more awareness of the tragedies that can affect a community and highlights the importance of supporting those who are suffering. People can help at the event by working the information booth and selling merchandise to attendees during the fest.
The festival will be on Saturday, June 10 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. There’s no cost to attend the KindYourMind Fest, and registration is not needed. Businesses may sponsor the event for perks like free booth spaces, website listings, and having their logo design featured on the festival’s banners.
