Nampa dog competition to benefit local animal rescue

A unique dog contest will be held at the Nampa Civic Center in July to benefit the Lake Lowell Animal Rescue.

Puptricks is an event that allows dog owners to showcase the skills of their pets in an indoor and outdoor setting. The competition is split into three tiers based on the dog's skill level. The first tier is for pets that know how to perform entry-level tricks like shaking hands or sitting, and the second tier is for dogs that can do tricks such as crawling or giving kisses on command. People may also enter their pets into a cute contest at the event.

The Lake Lowell Animal Rescue was set up by Melissa Blackmer. Initially created as a way of protecting local cats, the animal rescue now offers adoption services for several kinds of creatures, including rabbits, pigs, and birds. People can help the organization by donating items like pet food, toys, treats, and blankets. Members of the community may also volunteer to become foster homes for animals.

The Puptricks competition will be held on Saturday, July 8 at 10:00 am. No tickets are required to enter the Nampa Civic Center, and registration is also not necessary. People may bring money to shop at the onsite pet and food vendors. Companies that attend community competitions like this may use business card printing to make contact materials to give away to booth visitors.
