Bilingual education conference to return to Nampa

The Idaho Association for Bilingual Education will host its annual conference at the Nampa Civic Center.

The Idaho Association for Bilingual Education 2024 Conference is an opportunity for educators and administrators to connect with their colleagues and discuss effective approaches to education. Educators can meet on the day before the conference for a special networking event with Luigi Novoa and Myrna Muñoz.

The main day of the program will feature a keynote presentation from Valentina González and multiple breakout sessions. González is an educational consultant and author.

The Idaho Association for Bilingual Education is an organization that began in 1979 to promote bilingual learning. The current president of the association is Molly Fuentealba, who is a former federal program consultant and coordinator for immigrant programs in Idaho. She also went to The College of Idaho and Boise State University. The organization provides scholarships to bilingual educators and promotes bicultural educational activities for children and adults.

The event will be on Friday, January 26th from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The ticket cost to enter the conference is $100 per person. Those interested in supporting the bilingual education association can also participate in an auction held at the venue.

Business owners who participate in similar fundraisers may use printing services to create branded drinkware or clothing to use in the auctions.
