The decisions made today in Hailey will impact its environment tomorrow, and Wood River Land Trust will be offering its insights into this during its Watershed Moment Workshop.
Mid-July will see the Trust host a workshop that will give information on its planning scenario that looks at various factors that impact the wildlife, land and water of Blaine County. It's scheduled to run for two hours at Hailey Town Center West.
Those who participate in the interactive session will be invited to be part of the discussion, and they will be presented with preliminary details about how various land uses affect water consumption in different ways. The methodology for how the Trust measures watershed maps and is also engaging in mapping growth scenarios is on the agenda, and a community survey is being conducted as well. The gathering is one of three that will be held in Blaine County to help keep the public informed and also make them stakeholders in the project.
Community meetings help to keep residents informed while also allowing them to provide input into the topic being discussed. Stationery printers will be able to prepare handouts for distribution as well as any visual materials needed.
The Hailey Watershed Moment Workshop will keep its residents up to date on the activities being undertaken by the Wood River Land Trust on July 22nd. It will begin at 4:00 pm sharp.
