An activity that works to address poverty in and around Hailey will soon be offering a tasty way to lend a hand to local community service organizations, and everyone is encouraged to be part of the experience.
This year, the area will once again be helping to make sure everyone has food on their table when it hosts its 14th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser. It will be held during lunchtime on its scheduled date, and the Church of the Big Wood will be the venue for the occasion.
Tickets for the meal may be purchased in advance or at the door, and a discount will be available for those who secure those ahead of time. Each attendee will receive a handmade bowl crafted by an area potter that’s filled with chili or soup. Bread, salad and dessert are also on the menu, the organizers thanked local chefs for their generous contribution to the day. Boulder Mountain Clayworks, the Blaine County Charitable Fund and Church of the Big Wood have teamed up to bring the fundraiser to the community.
Choosing suitable marketing materials can be an important part of planning a special event. A banner printing company will be able to offer a full line of options to its clients.
The year's Empty Bowl activity is set for February 1st. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $30.00, while those who reserve theirs in advance may do so for $25.00.
