A groundbreaking metal and punk band, and their special guests, are on the way to Davenport.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Skid Row was one of the top selling artists in the world. The group had record sales that went both gold, and then multiplatinum, plus they had an album hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts. The band has now reformed, and is bringing its United World Rebellion tour to Davenport and other cities. Fans can expect such songs as “Monkey Business,” “18 and Life,” “I Remember You,” and “Youth Gone Wild.”
Skid Row's special guest on the tour is Slaughter, a “glam rock” band whose distinctive sound saw them win an American Music Award as “Favorite New Artist” in 1991. Fans can expect to hear favorites like “Spend My Life,” “Up All Night,” and “Fly to the Angels.” Poster printing is often used when events such as this are scheduled, and can be offered for sale as many people enjoy having mementos of special evenings.
The show is set for January 16, from 8:00 pm until 9:30 pm, at the Rhythm City Casino on Elmore Avenue in Davenport. There are no age restrictions on attendees, and there is a special section for the disabled. If all the ADA seating is sold out, the casino will attempt to find seating as close to the desired section as possible.
